One of baseball's best rivalries highlights the sports betting slate on June 7

ByUpdated: Jun 07, 2025 4:21PM UTC . 4 min read

The NBA Finals and Stanley Cup Final both have Saturday off, but there's still plenty of action for sports bettors to check out. A full 15-game MLB slate is highlighted by the second game of the New York Yankees vs. Boston Red Sox rivalry series, as well as an afternoon matinee featuring the Chicago Cubs and Detroit Tigers -- both first-place teams. The WNBA also has three games on the docket on Saturday, including a rivalry showdown between the Indiana Fever and Chicago Sky on CBS and Paramount+.

Bettors looking to place wagers on any of Saturday's games and events can utilize the latest Caesars Sportsbook promo code SPORTSLINEDYW, which offers new users 10 profit boosts after making a first qualifying wager of at least $1.

Best bets for Saturday, June 7

The Yankees scored nine runs to beat the Red Sox on Friday night, but they may have trouble matching that production against Boston ace Garret Crochet, who gets the ball on Saturday. Crochet has been one of the best pitchers in baseball, ranking fifth among qualified starters in fWAR and sixth in ERA. The Red Sox had needed a true aces for years, and the acquisition of Crochet has filled the need beautifully. Yankees starter Ryan Yarbrough has been an unexpected boost for the Bronx Bombers, but one would imagine the pressure will be on the New York hitters to keep pace. First pitch is scheduled for 7:35 p.m. ET.

The SportsLine Projection Model sees the Yankees winning in 59% of its simulations, and has a handful of 5-star ratings on player props from the game, including Aaron Judge Over 1.5 total bases (+115).

Although Caitlin Clark remains sidelined, there should still be plenty of juice in Saturday night's Indiana Fever vs. Chicago Sky game. Indiana has dropped two of its three games since Clark's injury, while Chicago has won two in a row after starting the season 0-4. Angel Reese and the Sky will smell blood in the water tonight, and will be eager to tally a third straight victory. WNBA experts Calvin Wetzel and Aaron Barzilai have three best bets for the game, including Chicago +4.
