Three of the first four meetings between these two this season have seen eight runs, or less. Both of these starting pitchers have been in great form in May. In three starts in May, Seth Lugo owns a 2.89 ERA while Casey Mize owns a 3.00 ERA. Detroit’s bats have cooled off a little, hitting .215 over their last seven days, despite winning four straight, and the Royals have scored four runs, or less, in six straight. Both starts are backed by a top six bullpen in the AL as well.

I like the Tigers in game one at this price. Casey Mize went five innings in his return last time out, and should be feeling even stronger here the second time around. He's also been solid on the season with an ERA under three and allowed just one run in seven innings against this Kansas City lineup already this year. Seth Lugo is returning from a finger injury, not sure how much I trust him first time back since it's this type of injury, but I guess we will see. Both bullpens are rather rested, but I think the Tigers' offense is far superior and at this price I'm finding value.
