Horse racing's Triple Crown resumes on Saturday when the starting gate opens for the middle jewel, the 2025 Preakness Stakes at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore. Sovereignty won the first leg of the Triple Crown, the Kentucky Derby, but his connections are skipping the Preakness to target the Belmont Stakes. However Kentucky Derby runner-up Journalism will run in Saturday's race and is the 8-5 favorite in the 2025 Preakness Stakes odds. Fan favorite Sandman (4-1), the Todd Pletcher-trained River Thames (9-2), Hot Springs Stakes speedball Clever Again (5-1), and the Bob Baffert-trained Goal Oriented (6-1) round out the top five favorites among the nine 2025 Preakness Stakes horses.
